About the Event
Event:
July 10th | 3 Loop Earring Making with Sharon Cannon
*Ages 13 & up.
Open to the public.
Did you know earring traditions date back more than 12,000 years? Historically, earrings in indigenous culture could carry spiritual significance, communicate tribal affiliation or status, and the material conveyed information about local resources. This tradition isn't simple ornamentation; it is a deeply rooted cultural practice that continues today as living tradition. In addition to connecting us to culture, the act of making earrings provides benefits such as fostering attention to detail, hand/eye coordination, mindfulness, and individual expression.
Limited space available. RSVP today through the form linked below or in person at Indian Health Care Resource Center of Tulsa.
*Caregivers must attend the event in its entirety if the youth is under the age of 16.
