Medicine pouches are typically used to carry items of spiritual significance for protection, healing, good luck, or guidance. Each pouch and its contents are highly personalized, symbolic, and individualized by its maker. Modern medicine pouches serve very similar functions, and they remain a symbol of personal and communal connect, respect for nature, and spiritual guidance.
