About the Event
Event
July 17th | Pottery with Crystal Hanna
*Ages 6 & up
Open to the public.
For thousands of years pottery has been an integral part of Indigenous culture and everyday life. Pottery holds deep ceremonial and spiritual importance as well as providing convenient storage. It evolved from simple containers for storing essentials to highly decorated pieces reflecting the environment and culture of the creators. Not only is pottery a form of artistic expression that connects us with culture, but it also requires focus and concentration to form, attention to detail to decorate, and patience to wait for the clay to cure.
Limited space available. Please RSVP through the form below or in person at IHCRC.
*Caregivers must attend the event in its entirety if the participant is under the age of 16.
