One of the biggest misconceptions we hear is that Indian Health Care Resource Center of Tulsa (IHCRC) is only for people without health insurance. The truth is, having insurance doesn’t change your ability to receive care here.
Whether you have private insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, or no insurance at all, you can become a patient at IHCRC if you meet eligibility requirements. Best of all, patients never receive a bill for services provided at IHCRC, including copays.
Patient Eligibility: Any individual who holds a Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) card from a federally recognized tribe is eligible to receive healthcare at IHCRC. Non-American Indian children under the age of 18 who have an American Indian parent or an American Indian guardian also qualify for care. Non-American Indian women who are pregnant with an American Indian child are eligible for prenatal and postpartum care.
Why We Ask for Your Insurance
If you have health insurance, we’ll ask for your insurance information just like any other health care provider. That’s because your insurance can reimburse IHCRC for many of the services you receive. Those reimbursements help support the care we provide every day, allowing us to continue serving our patients while ensuring that cost isn’t a barrier to receiving quality care. Using your insurance helps strengthen the services available to the entire community, while you continue receiving care with no out-of-pocket cost.
The Care You Need, Without the Financial Worry
At IHCRC, we focus on helping you stay healthy, not on what you can afford. We believe everyone deserves access to quality health care, and we're committed to removing financial barriers that might prevent someone from seeking care. Patients have access to a wide range of services, including:
Primary Care
Pediatrics
Women’s Health
Dental Care
Behavioral Health
Physical Therapy
Optometry
Pharmacy Services
Nutrition Services
Fitness and Wellness Programs
…and much more!
Whether you’re scheduling an annual wellness visit, managing a chronic condition, or bringing your child in for a checkup, our team is here to provide compassionate, high-quality care.
