About the Event
Tea & Topics, happening quarterly on the third Tuesday of the month, offers American Indian elders time to gather over a comforting cup of tea (or coffee!) to connect and explore informative health-related topics together. This quarterly Tea and Topics will feature guest speaker Lieutenant Craig Deerinwater of the TFD and Vice President of IAFF Local 176. Craig is a Muscogee Nation citizen, with Cherokee and Navajo heritage. He has over 27 years of dedicated service to the Tulsa Fire Department. He will be discussing fire safety in the home, driving safely, trips and falls, and what to do in the event of an emergency.
This event is open to members of a federally recognized tribe that are age 60 or over. Elder caregivers and partners are also welcome. Please register so we can have an accurate count of attendees.
