We’re looking for compassionate, mission-driven professionals who want more than a job; who want to be part of meaningful work, grow alongside a supportive team, and help redefine primary healthcare for the American Indian community. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our growing dental department as a Dental Hygienist. The Dental Hygienist provides direct patient care consistent with granted privileges and the IHCRC Mission, Vision, and Values.

Essential Job Functions

Demonstrates clinical competency in the performance of scaling and root planning, dental prophylaxis, and the administration of local anesthetics.

Examines teeth and gums for signs of disease, decay or pathology. Charts such conditions for further diagnosis and treatment by the dentist.

Reviewing patient charts prior to appointment to ensure periodontal charting is up to date and appropriate procedure is planned. Consults with dentists as needed.

Provides dental screenings, patient education, and community outreach as directed by supervisor.

Works efficiently to ensure that patients are seated in a timely manner and maintains an appropriate patient load.

Assists dental director with championing GPRA measures, AAAHC preparedness, and quality improvement.

Follows safety procedures, utilizes protective equipment and maintains infection control protocols at all times.

Always treats all patients and co-workers with good customer service and respect.

Required License, Certification, Education, Specialized Skills

Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene.

Valid and current Oklahoma Dental Hygiene license required.

Local anesthetic certificate required. 

BLS or CPR certification 

Proficiency in obtaining vital signs 

Intermediate computer skills and proficiency with dental practice management software.

Supports CQI efforts and other initiatives within the department as instructed by supervisor and administration. 

Participates in CE as required by the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry.
