JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dentist to join our growing Dental team. The ideal candidate is passionate about community health, committed to providing excellent patient care, and thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Demonstrates clinical expertise in providing preventative care such as topical fluoride applications, prophylaxis, sealants, radiographs and comprehensive exams.
Demonstrates clinical competency in providing restorative dentistry, oral surgery, periodontal treatment, and pediatric dentistry as necessary.
Consistently reviews patient health histories and seeks out a consultation with a specialist in the dental and medical profession when necessary.
Provides supervision and instruction to dental assistants as needed.
Assists dental director with championing GRPA measures, AAAHC preparedness and quality improvement.
Works efficiently to maintain and appropriate patient load and makes self-available to see walk-in patients.
Actively participates in peer review process. Meets peer review performance measures.
Follows proper safety procedures, utilizes proper protective equipment and maintains proper infection control protocols at all times.
Treats all patients and staff members with respect and excellent customer service.
REQUIRED LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED SKILLS
Graduate from an accredited College of Dentistry with a DDS or DMD degree.
A license from the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry to practice Dentistry.
A current DEA and OBNDD license.
2+ years clinical experience preferred.
BLS CPR certification.
Intermediate computer skills and proficiency with dental practice management software.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The employee is on feet most of day. Intermittent physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting and supporting patients is essential. This position performs tasks that involve exposure to patients as well as blood, body fluids, or tissues. Incumbent will be exposed to virus, disease and infection from patients and specimens in working environment. Personal protective equipment use required.
