JOB SUMMARY

Indian Health Care Resource Center of Tulsa (IHCRC) is a nonprofit organization empowering the American Indian community through exceptional, culturally responsive healthcare. Our team-driven environment is rooted in community, respect, accountability, excellence, and stewardship, with a shared commitment to health promotion and disease prevention.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pharmacist to join our growing organization. The Pharmacist provides safe, high-quality, and patient-centered pharmaceutical care in a nonprofit outpatient clinic setting. This role supports the clinic’s mission by ensuring accurate medication dispensing, patient education, and collaboration with medical providers to improve health outcomes for the American Indian population. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Performs duties within the scope of licensure and professional ethics standards.

Accurately and efficiently dispenses prescribed drugs per provider instructions and established guidelines.

Consults with medical staff about potential drug interactions, patient medical history, and the use of particular medications.

Counsel’s patients about medications and dosing instructions.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED SKILLS

Current and valid Oklahoma PharmD or DPh license from an accredited school of Pharmacy program.

Must be registered with the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy.

4+ years working in a clinical environment preferred.

BLS CPR certification.

Intermediate computer skills.

Strong written and communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Ability to multi-task.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

The employee is on feet most of day, both on the computer and interacting with others. Intermittent physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting. This position performs tasks that may involve direct exposure to patients. Incumbent will be exposed to virus, disease and infection from patients and in working environment. Personal protective equipment use is required.
