JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Patient Registration Clerk to join our growing organization! The Patient Registration Clerk serves as the first point of contact for patients, providing a welcoming and professional experience. This role is responsible for accurately registering patients, verifying demographic and insurance information, collecting required documentation, and supporting clinic operations through excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to serving the community in a nonprofit healthcare setting.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assist patients with registration criteria and questions.

  • Verify chart paperwork is complete.

  • Verify insurance and enter pay codes.

  • Data entry registration details to create or reactivate chart.

  • Screen patients for registration.

  • Perform OB intake process including having patient’s sign financial responsibility letter.

  • Apply and renew Soonercare benefits for patients and assist with any benefit questions.

  • Assist with referral related questions.

  • Manage flags in patient charts.

REQUIRED LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED SKILLS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 1+ years experience or technical training in medical billing or medical records.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Previous office setting experience prefered
