JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to join our growing Marketing and Development team. The Marketing Communications Specialist plays a key role in shaping and sharing the organization’s story. This position develops compelling visual content, printed materials, advertisements, and promotional campaigns that reflect the organization’s mission and values. Working collaboratively with departments across the organization, the Specialist plans and executes creative strategies to enhance brand awareness, engage the community, and effectively reach target audiences through a variety of marketing and communication channels. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare printed marketing collateral (brochures, fliers, forms) to support Marketing and Communications Manager.

  • Design graphics for marketing communication channels.

  • Assist with the distribution of messages among various marketing communication channels (Facebook, Instagram, IHCRC App, Website, Blog, and YouTube).

  • Create graphics for services and programs to support large marketing projects.

  • Design and order promotional items and marketing materials while ensuring brand standards are being met.

  • Provide assistance with video production. This includes planning and setup and breakdown of equipment.

  • Operate a DSLR camera and other photo and video equipment as requested.

REQUIRED LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED SKILLS

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Graphic Design

  • Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) Premier Pro experience a plus.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.

  • Basic understanding of DSLR camera operation or willingness to learn.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

The employee is on feet most of day, both on the computer and interacting with others. Intermittent physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting. This position performs tasks that may involve direct exposure to patients. Incumbent will be exposed to virus, disease and infection from patients and in working environment. Personal protective equipment use is required.
