JOB SUMMARY

Join our organization in our Mission to Empower the American Indian through exceptional healthcare! We are seeking a Development Director to join our growing organization. The role of the Development Director is to increase awareness of the fundraiser, its cause, and to generate donations. The Development Director will take initiative to spot fundraising opportunities, develop relationships with potential donors, and manage fundraising campaigns. Identifies and oversees grant writing processes and submissions. This also coordinates events, writes proposals, recruits, and leads volunteers. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Organize and coordinate fundraising events for IHCRC, with emphasis on our annual Dance of the Two Moons. 

Research potential donors and develop strategies to cultivate relationships. 

Identify and pursue new funding opportunities through grants, sponsorships, and partnerships.

Develop and implement fundraising campaigns to meet financial goals.

Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors. 

Provide excellent customer service to donors by promptly responding too inquiries and providing updates on fundraising initiatives.

Utilize databases and software to track donor information and manage fundraising activities. 

Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling fundraising materials. 

Writes and oversees the writing of grant proposals and reports. 

REQUIRED LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED SKILLS

Bachelor's Degree required

Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) preferred or 5 years equivalent.

Proven experience in fundraising or a related field. 

Strong relationship management skills to cultivate donors and fundraising opportunities. 

Excellent relationship relationship management skills to cultivate donor relationships.

Must be organized and self-motivated.

Must have a strong, professional communication and writing skills. 

Intermediate computer skills. 

Must have strong time management skills. 

Other duties as assigned.
