About the Event

American Indians have relied on fishing as a main food source for a long time. This event is to help share the importance of fishing in American Indian culture as well as encourage male influences (dad, grandpa, brother, etc.) to spend quality time in the outdoors with youth. All fishing will be catch-and-release. Breakfast and water will be provided. A parent/guardian is required to attend with youth.

Each youth will receive:

  • Fishing Pole
  • Tackle Box with Bait Kit
  • Fishing Vest

Registration is limited to youth ages 8-15 . Please only register the attending child for this activity. Oklahoma residents under the age of 16 do not need a license to fish, however, if attending family member(s) plan to fish, please bring a valid fishing license.
