JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a deep commitment to making a positive impact in our patients lives. This Generalist Therapist provides Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapy and collaborates with other clinicians to provide comprehensive treatment. This role will have a partial caseload of patients seeking Substance Abuse Therapy Treatments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Completes treatment plans that include measurable and time-limited goals.
This position must be willing to be trained in Substance Abuse Treatments if they do not have previous experience.
Completes progress notes by the end of each day.
Attends monthly case consultation meetings and is prepared to discuss cases.
Provides therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults.
Provides comprehensive services within scope of licensure, specialized training, and IHCRC privileges.
Completes thorough intakes on patients, including obtaining mental health and substance abuse history.
Develops diagnosis for patients based on DSM criteria.
Provides crisis intervention services.
Establishes rapport with patients and provides continuing care to patients.
Collaborate with other providers/agencies with referrals and/or integrated care.
Completes other tasks as assigned.
Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the extent of substance abuse and related issues.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote peer support and recovery strategies.
Provide crisis management support to patients in distress.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with ICD-10 coding standards.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care and resources for patients.
Engage in child family counseling when appropriate, involving family members in the treatment process.
Stay updated on research and best practices in substance abuse treatment.
REQUIRED LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED SKILLS
Master’s Degree. LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
Intermediate computer skills and proficiency with electronic health records software.
Must be a self-starter, multi-tasker, with ability to effectively give direction and input to care team.
Demonstrates and understanding of and/or a willingness to learn about cultural considerations for working with Native American patients.
