JOB SUMMARY

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals with communication, speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. As a key member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, the SLP evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients across the lifespan, supporting functional communication, safety, and improved quality of life. This role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about community health and serving diverse, underserved populations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assessment & Diagnosis: Conducting evaluations to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing difficulties in patients of all ages

Treatment Planning: Designing, implementing, and modifying individualized treatment plans to address specific patient needs. 

Direct Therapy- Providing intervention for articulation, voice, fluency, and cognitive-communication disorders. 

Swallowing/Feeding Support: Treating swallowing disorders and improving oral motor skills. 

Collaboration and education: Consulting with teachers, doctors, and family, members to provide on disorders and home-based strategies. 

Documentation: Maintaining, accurate, detailed records of evaluations, treatment progress and billing information. 

REQUIRED LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED SKILLS

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA

  • Experience in outpatient, community health, all ages

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, mission-driven environment
