JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Receptionist to join our medical team. The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, playing a vital role in setting a welcoming and professional environment. This role is responsible for front desk operations including scheduling, check-in/out, verifying insurance, answering phones, and maintaining accurate patient records.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Verify insurance on all patients.
Verify appropriate documents are in the patient chart.
Assist with the walk-in process.
Connect patients with the appropriate staff or department.
Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Manage incoming calls using phone systems, ensuring effective communication and phone etiquette.
Maintain patient records and ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Provide medical administrative support by answering questions and addressing concerns from patients regarding their visits.
Collaborate with other medical departments to ensure seamless patient flow and care.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area to create a welcoming environment.
REQUIRED LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED SKILLS
1 + years of experience working in a medical office setting is highly desirable
High School diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills..
Strong phone etiquette with excellent verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a busy environment.
Strong organizational skills to manage various administrative tasks efficiently.
A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and assisting team members as needed.
