About the Event

Powwows are a wonderful celebration of American Indian culture, including dancing, drumming, singing, traditional dress, and more. Join us Tuesday, April 15, for a special Tea & Topics featuring guest speaker Jamie Whartenby-Anquoe will cover the basics of powwow etiquette including:

·         When to arrive, leave, and participate

·         What to wear and how to act respectfully

·         Traditional roles included in powwows

·         Different dances performed at powwows


Tea & Topics is a monthly gathering over tea (and coffee), where American Indian elders can connect with each other while exploring informative and interesting topics.


This event is for those ages 65 and older.
