JOB SUMMARY

The Pharmacy Clerk is responsible for working closely with the patients, facilitating conversation between the patient and Pharmacist. Among other duties the pharmacy clerk also inputs patient refill requests and disperses medications.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for efficient and timely processing of pharmacy patients, both in-person and via telephone.

  • Safely and efficiently dispenses verified prescriptions to correct patients following established guidelines.

  • Responsible for verifying prescriptions and taking patient calls.

  • Assists in furthering the IHCRC mission by providing quality comprehensive health care.

  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED SKILLS

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • 1 year in medical office/clinic environment preferred.

  • Intermediate computer skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask
