Data Management Specialist

The Data Management Specialist is responsible for producing data for a variety of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. Uses EHR, Scheduler RPMS, iCare databases for reports. Provides data report support for all clinic departments.


  • Export data from RPMS and iCare to develop clinical reports for empanelment and acuity, among others.

  • Maintain statistical data regarding patient outcomes.

  • Work in RPMS and iCare to develop and present reports for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to:

  • Missing CDIB report, IPC Report, GPRA reports, IHS Contract reports, and Clinic Workload reports.

  • Various grant data requests and reports

  • Provider empaneling

  • Provide data support as needed for other departments, CQI studies, and reports.

  • Assist with planning and coordination of staff training activities.

  • Keep EHR data clean, deactivate charts per policy, remove flags as needed.

  • Monitor for deceased patients to close charts.

  • Manage RPMS mail account.

  • Create iCare patient lists for chart audits.

  • Assist QI team with strategies for CQI studies.

  • Measure and analyze performance metrics.

  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree with experience in mathematics and data required or an Oklahoma RN License.

  • Demonstrated initiative, ability to work with others, and good professional judgement required.

  • Knowledge of process improvement preferred.

  • Ability to learn electronic health records and reporting systems.

  • Intermediate computer skills.

  • Excellent communicator, and able to interact with individuals at all levels of profession.
