JOB SUMMARY

Supervises nursing staff, including RN’s, LPN’s, and Medical Assistants, and medical clinic scheduling staff.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Ensures timely submission and compliance with payroll timesheet.

  • Coordinates and promotes IPCMS program. Ensures care teams are functioning to maximum efficiency.

  • Ensure efficient and effective flow of patient throughout the medical department.

  • Fills in for Triage Nurse as needed. Covers nursing areas when needed.

  • Coordinates emergency response teams. Assists with emergency preparedness.

  • Assists with handling patient complaints and patient advocacy.

  • Implements care plan by facilitating authorizations/referrals as appropriate.

  • Facilitates facility infection control program and ensure compliance.

REQUIRED LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED SKILLS

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.  RN required. BSN preferred.

  • Must possess current and valid Oklahoma nursing license.

  • Broad knowledge of community health nursing principles, practices and procedures.

  • 3+ year’s progressive experience supervising nursing staff.

  • BLS CPR Certification.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of care management techniques, provider community, and community resources.

  • Intermediate computer skills.
