JOB SUMMARY
The primary scheduler for the Behavioral Health Department. Fills in for the Medical Assistant, as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists with scheduling and front desk duties.
Is immediately available to support psychiatrists during and in between patient appointments.
Answers phone calls and relays messages to psychiatrists.
Calls patients, at request of psychiatrists, to deliver information.
Completes patient vital signs and documents appropriately in to EHR.
Acts as liaison between psychiatrists and other departments.
Completes other tasks as assigned.
REQUIRED LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED SKILLS
High School graduate of equivalent.
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
2+ years assisting a provider in a health clinic. Behavioral health experience a plus.
Intermediate computer skills.
BLS CPR certification.
Must be able to take direction.
Must have strong time management skills.
Must be able to work at a fast pace.
