Donor Bill of Rights
IHCRC fully accepts and adopts the “Donor Bill of Rights” developed by the American Association of Fund Raising Counsel (AAFRC), the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), and the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). Donors may be assured that information about their donations will always be handled with confidentiality to the extent provided by law.
Donor Recognition Policies
Recognition policies apply to gifts or pledges received or committed to IHCRC from individuals, family foundations, large institutional foundations, corporations, businesses, or other entities. Gifts received in full will be recognized for the amount received. Gifts pledged over a period of five years or less will be recognized at the full commitment amount upon receipt of a letter of intent or other appropriate gift documentation. Gifts of stock will be valued according to IHCRC’s gift accounting policies.
Individuals will also be recognized for gifts received from corporations to match their personal contribution; similarly, gifts received from other private sources due to the control, discretion and direction of an individual may be included in that individual’s recognition. This may include a gift from a privately held company owned by the individual or a family foundation. Only gifts accepted in accordance with the IHCRC’s gift acceptance policies will qualify for recognition.
