On April 1, 2006, Indian Health Care Resource Center (IHCRC) celebrated its 16th annual Dance of the Two Moons fund raising event with Caribbean flair. The benefit dinner and silent auction was held at the Tulsa Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center. In a room filled with palm tree and tropical centerpieces, the Salsa Kings band set a lively tone for this year's "Two Moons over Havana" event theme. The Salsa Kings dance troupe raised the event's energy level with their exhibition dancing and taught the Two Moons patrons Caribbean dances such as the Cha-Cha-Cha, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and the Rumba.

IHCRC Board of Trustees President Jay Anderson, DDS, chaired the Dance of the Two Moons Planning Committee. The proceeds from the Dance of the Two Moons support Indian Health Care's pediatric dental program. Under the direction of Drake Sellmeyer, DDS, IHCRC's dental department provided 2,050 pediatric dental visits last year. IHCRC's dental program provides children with the tools and knowledge for proper healthcare, and instills a sense of accomplishment by teaching hygiene routines which the children can maintain throughout their lifetime.
