At this year's annual meeting the Keynote Speaker was Caitlin Baker, Competitive American Indians Turning Lifestyles into New Beginnings (CAITLINB). Caitlin Baker is 14 years old member of the Muscogee Creek Tribe. Caitlin has been a competitive swimmer for 5 years. Her love of swimming and sports motivated her to start an outreach program, CAITLINB (Competitive American Indians Turning Lifestyles Into New Beginnings). The mission of CAITLINB reads to "Bring a message to Native Youth on the importance of being healthy and active. I will share my personal goals and experiences. Also, speak to Native American Leaders about the need to build facilities and organize year round programs for the young people in their communities."
Caitlin has promoted her organizations through numerous partnerships throughout the United States. This past May, her continued dedication to her mission and to promoting healthy lifestyles was honored when CAITLINB was placed in the Billy Jean King Women in Sports Museum in Manhattan, NY.
