JOB SUMMARY:     Works under the administrative direction of the Medical Director exercising independent judgment and decision making.  Responsible for providing comprehensive medical services for children and adolescents up to 18 years of age.

Clinical competency in examining patients as follows:

 

 

 

 

a.

·          Utilizes diagnostic aids such as stethoscope, sphygmomanometer, thermometer, and other instruments.

 

 

 

 

b.

·         Orders or executes various tests, analysis, and x-rays to provide information on patient’s condition.

 

 

 

 

c.

·         Analyzes reports and findings of tests, analysis, and x-rays to provide information on patient’s condition.

 

 

 

 

d.

·         Administers or prescribes treatment and medications.

 

 

 

 

e.

·         Promotes health by advising patients to immunize them from communicable diseases.

 

 

 

 

f.

·         Inoculates and vaccinates patients to immunize them from communicable diseases.

Coordinates with personnel at Claremore Indian Health Service Hospital and Tulsa HMO.

Provides technical supervision of staff as required population and identifying health needs.

 

 

 

 

5.

Assists in the design of health education programs.

 

 

 

 

6.

 

Responsible for providing directly or indirectly basic radiology laboratory and pharmacy services commensurate with the center’s need.

 

 

 

 

7.

Attends monthly meetings of CQI/CQA and full staff.

 

 

 

 

8.

Completes all required correspondence, as well as prepares all required IHCRC monthly reports timely and accurately.

 

 

 

 

9.

Complies with all AAAHC standards and requirements such as annual TB test, CPR and CEU if applicable.

 

 

 

 

10.

Interacts and communicates with fellow staff in a way that promotes a harmonious and cooperative working environment.
